Welcome to

Monteney Primary School

Welcome to Monteney Primary School, We hope that our website gives you a sense of our
wonderful school, as well as providing regular updated information for all members of our

school community.

Monteney Primary School is a large, two-form entry primary school in the north of Sheffield.
We aim for our children to receive a high quality education in an environment where they
feel safe, valued and respected and are incredibly proud of our children and the successes

they achieve.

We believe that it is our responsibility to educate the whole child and as such we aim to give
a wide range of extra-curricular activities alongside the academic curriculum.
We have a highly inclusive ethos and believe that every child can achieve great things. Our
staff are kind, caring and highly skilled: We have high expectations of our learners, both
academically, socially and emotionally and we strive for everyone at Monteney to be a
‘Monteney Learner’: Learners, who accept challenge, are resilient, take risks and are

enthusiastic and aspirational.

Above all we aim for our children to enjoy coming to school and see it as a place they can
thrive and their talents can develop and grow. We look forward to working in partnership
with our parents and carers to achieve this aim, recognising the important role this
partnership can play in a child’s development and achievement.

As proud members of Steel City Schools Partnership we work closely with
our partner schools and have strong links within the community of Parson Cross and

beyond.
