Nursery
We aim to…
Care – through our words and actions
Captivate – through our learning environment & guided discovery
Catapult – through setting goals and having high expectations.
We aim to make starting nursery as comfortable as possible for the children. Home visits take place so that our staff can meet the children in a familiar environment. Starting times are staggered over a short period of time to help your child settle gradually. We aim to make starting nursery as comfortable as possible for the children. Reception
At Monteney Primary, the EYFS curriculum is designed to recognise children’s prior learning, provide first hand learning experiences, allow the children to develop interpersonal skills, build resilience and become creative, critical thinkers. Our curriculum embraces the community in which it is situated, recognising our local area, geographical situation and most importantly, the aspirations of all our children.
We place strong emphasis on the religious, spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of all our pupils. Our school community has identified a clear set of values that underpin expectations for behaviour for all members of our school family. Every child is recognised as a unique individual. We celebrate and welcome the differences within our school community. For reception new starters please find all information from the below link.
