Sports Premium

Monteney is a school that has for a number of years demonstrated a strong commitment to prioritising PE, Sport and Physical Activity.

The PE coordinator has worked hard to develop both an interest in extra-curricular sport as well as developing a sound base of curriculum teaching and an enthusiasm to become physically active. Engagement at school is high and pupils approach PE, Sport and Physical Activity enthusiastically.

The school currently enters a variety of local competitions through SFSS, Points and other available events. Opportunities to enter a variety of competitive opportunities in a range of sports are afforded to pupils at the school.

Active play has been developed through the ‘Move More boards’ and the personal challenge project.

The PE coordinator is actively involved in the local PE Network and the school is part of Points Learning Network.
