Extended Learning
We believe that extended learning, sometimes also called extra-curricular opportunities play a key role in the development of our children here at Monteney. We seek to provide as many opportunities as we can for children to extend their learning and discover and celebrate their talents and interests. Each half-term we share a timetable of the extended learning opportunities available (see below for our latest offer).
Sheffield Children’s University
In order to celebrate the success of children taking part in extended learning activities outside of school hours we work with the Children’s University to help our children collect Children’s University credits.
The Sheffield Children’s University awards children a credit for every hour of activity attended out of school hours. The children can work towards a wide range of awards during their time at Monteney Primary. For further information about Sheffield Children’s University follow the link below.
